COLD IRONING DBA: OUR ROLE IN SUSTAINABILITY IN PORTS

In Sardinia, Liguria, Sicily and along the beautiful coasts of the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas, we have contributed to the implementation of Cold Ironing systems.
Since we started in 2016, we have designed more than 20 port electrification systems in various Italian locations to reduce air and noise pollution in ports by giving ships the ability to turn off on-board generators and connect to renewable electricity sources.
Our Technical and Economic Feasibility Projects (PFTEs) considered every detail, from dock and ship characteristics to energy demand, from network infrastructure to assessment of environmental impacts and economic benefits.
